Mike Betts is Founder and CEO of AgTech Guide, an information platform for discovering and understanding agriculture technology and equipment. AgTech Guide researches technology in Agriculture and builds product guides to help all ag stakeholders understand technology in agriculture better. Prior to founding AgTech Guide, Mike was Director of Investments at AgFunder where he evaluated AgTech companies across the entire sector, helped companies raise venture capital, and conducted due diligence for investors. A graduate from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, Mike began his career in the technology investment banking group at Credit Suisse where transaction experience included Walgreens’ acquisition of drugstore.com, Responsys’ IPO, RightNow’s convertible debt offering and advising Wine.com on M&A and capital raising. Mike later joined Wine.com, the largest online retailer of wine, where he managed analytics and led M&A and capital raising efforts. As an entrepreneur, Mike has taught himself computer programming, started two companies and worked as developer for Visible.vc, a venture capital software company. Before joining AgFunder, Mike managed technology partnerships and integrations strategy at Apteligent, a software provider of mobile developer tools. Outside of work Mike is an avid cyclist with a passion for agriculture, health and nutrition.
